Anatomy & Physiology
Applied to Hatha Yoga

Is Anatomy Still a Mystery to You?

Anatomy can be dense and complex leaving you feeling frustrated by its complexity and technicality. But it can be integrated into your yoga teaching style - in an easy way.

By understanding the body mechanisms that you can thoughtfully integrate into your teachings, you can deliver a powerful class for your students that’s more than just complex concepts and Latin terms... which we know can distract students from the actual class.

Become Confident Rather Than Confused

Learning more about anatomy and its practical applications will help you feel more confident in your yoga teaching. And I know that’s what you’re searching for!

You can educate and inspire your students on how to move with intelligence, helping them to know when to slow down, back off, go deeper, and respect the body for a sustainable practice.

Supporting your students with a sustainable practice is the best gift a yoga teacher can give, so they can break through the long-standing patterns that the mind has created in the body.

Anatomy & Physiology Applied to Yoga

In this course, I teach anatomy and physiology, but more importantly, I help you combine this knowledge with your yoga teaching, so when you’re teaching, you’re teaching with confidence. No more second-guessing yourself.

  • You will learn without getting stuck in anatomical concepts, obtain knowledge that will help you refine your teaching skills, and easily retain the information in a way that is directly relevant to you as a teacher and practitioner.

  • Upon studying each chapter, you'll have a deeper understanding of the connective tissue, core anatomy, and joint anatomy. You will understand further how the shoulders, knees, hips, and pelvis move, look at the main muscles involved in each area, and learn helpful tools for teaching on the yoga mat.

  • With the integration practices at the end of each chapter, I share ideas on how to thoughtfully integrate movement science in a way that can help the students’ asana practice to evolve, leading them into easeful bodies, more powerful pranayama practices, deeper meditations, and ultimately into a more useful life for their communities.
